We are renowned for academic excellence and achievement.

In previous years we have housed 6 Rhodes Scholarship recipients, 3 Fulbright Scholars, a John Monash Scholar, 3 New Colombo Plan fellows, numerous first class honours and university medal recipients.

To ensure a position at college each semester students are required to maintain a high academic average during their stay. There are a range of academic programs for students to take advantage of while at Wesley.

Students have access to mentors, tutorial programs, high calibre guest speakers, and the peer writing assistance program.

Programs to enhance your Academic Performance

Peer Writing Assistant Program

This program is designed to help students to improve their academic writing. It allows students to book a personal consultation with a senior student to work on a piece of their writing. The program focuses on developing writing that is clear, well-argued and appropriate to an academic environment. Peer Writing Assistants are chosen from the highest academic achievers within the College, and are provided with training for the role. The program is overseen by the Associate Director of Academics.

Tutorials

We’re committed to developing your full intellectual potential. We contract tutors with expertise in academic disciplines to run tutorials each week within the College.
