The Australian Boat Race

The Australian Boat Race (usually held annually, but was sorely missed due to Covid restrictions) between the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne returned to the shores of Sydney, Darling Harbour on Sunday, 17 October 2022.

Old Collegians, Jaime Ford (fr 17), Lucy Coleman (fr 19) and Talia Barnet-Hepples (fr 18), represented the University of Sydney in the Women’s Eight and took home the winner’s trophy against the University of Melbourne in the University Race.

In the Women’s College Race, our Wesley women raced well against Ormond but finished second. Nevertheless, we are proud of our representation in this long-standing friendly rivalry between the two Universities and its Colleges.
